Student Government
HTIC Student Government is a council of five elected student leaders—President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Speaker—who represent the student body and help shape student life on campus.
Why Student Government?
Joining student government is a great way to:
Build confidence and leadership skills
Plan events like BBQs, Sports Day, and game nights
Practice English in real-world situations
Connect with a diverse group of students and staff
Stand out on transfer or job applications
Eligibility Requirements
To run for a leadership position, you must:
Be a full-time student with regular status
Have a GPA of 2.75 or higher
Be in good academic and disciplinary standing
Be nominated by a fellow student or faculty/staff member

Advising
OSS provides personalized support to help you stay on track and plan for what’s next. We can help you with:
Choosing classes and creating your schedule
Exploring majors and career interests
Planning your transfer to another college
Staying on track to graduate on time
Understanding academic policies and requirements
Setting personal, academic, and career goals
Finding resources and tools to support your strengths
Clubs
Get involved, meet new people, and make campus life your own:
Joining a club or student organization
Starting your own club (you’ll need at least 3 members)
Finding events and ways to get involved on campus
Learning how to plan and promote your own events
Navigating student life and building community

Volunteering
