Housing & Dining

Our on-campus dormitory offers two floors of student housing, with both double and quadruple room options. Each room includes a bed module, and shared amenities feature communal bathrooms, a dining hall, laundry facilities, and a recreational space. A meal plan is required for all dormitory residents.

Residential Halls

HTIC’s residential halls offer two room types: double or quadruple occupancy. Housing is required for international students for their first two terms and optional for all others.

Double

  • Price: $2,700 per term (except $1,500 in summer)

  • Size: Approx. 220 sq. ft. (shared between 2 students)

  • Furnishings: Two beds, two desks, two chairs, shared closet, mini fridge, air conditioning

Quadruple

  • Price: $2,400 per term (except $,1300 in summer)

  • Size: Approx. 300+ sq. ft. (shared between 4 students)

  • Furnishings: Four beds, desks, chairs, shared closet/storage, mini fridge, air conditioning

A non-refundable processing fee of $20 is required with all housing applications. Other housing costs  include a $100 non-refundable in & out fee, $1,000 deposit and an optional $100 non-refundable charge  for a set of bedding, including a pillow, blanket, and towels. All housing fees must be paid in advance or  upon moving in.  

Note: Students who wish to stay in the dormitory outside the official check-in or check-out dates for each academic term must obtain prior approval from the Office of Student Services and are required to pay additional charges for the extended stay.  

Meal Plans

All students living in the residence hall are required to purchase a meal plan each term, optional for others. HTIC offers three flexible options to fit different appetites and budgets:

  • $800 Meal Plan - Basic coverage

  • $900 Meal Plan - Most Popular choice

  • 1,000 Meal Plan - For those who prefer more frequent or larger meals

The University of Hawaii - West Oahu Cafeteria is shared with HTIC.

  • International students are required to live on campus for their first two terms. U.S. students may choose to live on or off campus, subject to availability and eligibility.

  • The fee covers room accommodation, basic utilities, and common-area maintenance. Additional charges will apply for meal plan and laundry services.

  • Yes. All students living in the college-operated dormitory are required to purchase a meal plan as part of their housing agreement. For safety reasons, cooking stoves and hot plates are not allowed in the dorms. Microwaves and rice cookers may be used in the designated lounge areas within the dormitory.

  • On-campus residents have access to residence staff (including a manager on-site for emergencies), 24/7 security patrol, and common-area amenities. If issues arise, students can contact Resident Hall Manager or Campus Security at any time.
