HTIC offers several scholarships to help make your education more affordable. Three programs designed to support every student. Here’s a quick summary - keep scrolling for more information.
Summary of HTIC Scholarships Offered
Eligibility
New U.S. students (Fall 2025)

$1,300–$5,200 based on GPA

Up to 50% of one term’s tuition

20 hours of volunteer service

Important Note:
HTIC does not receive federal funding, does not participate in the Federal Student Financial Aid Program, and does not have a Federal School Code/Title IV Institution Code for the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

Gateway Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements
The Gateway Scholarship is awarded to three new students starting at HTIC in Fall 2025. It is open to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents who graduated from a U.S. high school or an international school with English as the language of instruction, and have a cumulative or transfer GPA of 3.0 or higher (see Table 1).
The scholarship is renewable for up to three terms (through Spring 2026), as long as students:
Follow the HTIC Code of Student Conduct
Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA each term at HTIC
Complete at least 10 hours of service learning per term (see Table 2)
To apply, submit your admissions application and official transcripts by June 30, 2025.

Global Citizen Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements
Full-time classified HTIC students
Completed at least one term in the Liberal Arts Program (minimum of 11 credits and ENG 100)
Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
Participation in a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer service learning during the termCompliance with the HTIC Code of Student Conduct
Note:
Students must apply each term to be eligible for the scholarship in the following term.

TOEFL Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements
International students in the College Preparatory or Liberal Arts Program
Award Amount
TOEFL 550 Club Scholarship: $500 for a TOEFL score of 550 or higher
TOEFL 600 Club Scholarship: $1,000 for a TOEFL score of 600 or higher
Note: Each TOEFL scholarship can only be received once.
