Gateway Scholarship

Eligibility

New U.S. students (Fall 2026)
High school GPA 3.0+

Award amount

$1,300–$5,200 based on GPA

Maintain 3.0+ GPA
10 hours of volunteer service learning per term

Global Citizen Scholarship

Eligibility

Full-time HTIC Liberal Arts students
Completed 9+ credits in courses numbered 100 and above
HTIC GPA 3.5+

Award amount

Up to 50% of one term’s tuition

Requirements

Maintain 3.5+ GPA
20 hours of volunteer service learning per term
Follow Code of Student Conduct

Award Type

TOEFL Scholarship

Eligibility

International students
TOEFL PBT score 550+ or 600+

Award amount

$500 (TOEL PBT score of 550+)
$1,000 (TOEL PBT score of 600+)

HTIC does not receive federal funding, does not participate in the Federal Student Financial Aid Program, and does not have a Federal School Code/Title IV Institution Code for the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

Gateway Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

The Gateway Scholarship will be awarded to three selected new applicants who are beginning their studies at HTIC during the Fall 2026 term.

This scholarship is open to U.S. citizens or U.S. legal permanent residents who graduated from a U.S. high school or an international school where English is the language of instruction, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher or a transfer GPA of 3.0 or higher (see Table 1).

Once enrolled, students must be compliant with the HTIC Code of Student Conduct, maintain a minimum HTIC term GPA of 3.0, and participate in a minimum of 10 hours of service learning per term for continued tuition reduction up to the Spring 2027 term (see Table 2).

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must submit an admissions application for the Fall 2026 term and official transcripts by June 30, 2026.

Global Citizen Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

Full-time classified HTIC students
Completed at least one term in the Liberal Arts Program (9+ credits in courses 100 and above)
Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
Participation in a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer service learning during the term
Compliance with the HTIC Code of Student Conduct
Note:
- Students must apply each term to be eligible for the scholarship for the following term.
- Awarded to selected students only.

TOEFL Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

International students in the College Preparatory or Liberal Arts Program

Award Amount

TOEFL 550 Club Scholarship: $500 for a TOEFL score of 550 or higher
TOEFL 600 Club Scholarship: $1,000 for a TOEFL score of 600 or higher
Note: Each TOEFL scholarship can only be received once.
