Hawaiʻi Tokai International College placed third in the Elite Men team standings (behind San Jose State and West Point) at the National Collegiate Judo Association (NCJA) Championships held at Texas A&M University on March 11, 2017. Both Hawaiʻi Tokai judo team members Anthony Brett and Micah Tateyama placed FIRST in their divisions. Anthony had to get past athletes from UC Davis, West Point and Texas A&M to win the Men’s Elite 60 kg division. Micah defeated athletes from the University of Pittsburgh, University of Texas, University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and San Jose State University to win the Men’s Elite 66 kg division. Congratulations Micah and Anthony!
