Hawaiʻi Tokai International College hosted Hawaiʻi TESOL’s 2018 conference, “Past, Present and Future of TESOL,” on Saturday, February 17. Approximately 140 participants were engaged in a wide variety of talks on issues around reading, writing and ESL developments. The plenary speaker was renowned academic Dr. Richard Day from the Second Language Studies (SLS) department at the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa.

Participants enjoyed the Hawaiʻi Tokai campus, gardens, open space and the excellent presentation rooms and facilities as well as Da Spot’s fabulous food. Dr. Samantha Hume, Hawaiʻi Tokai Dean of Instruction and an elected Hawaiʻi TESOL Officer, would like to thank all of the faculty, staff and students who helped to make the conference a resounding success.
