Hawaii Tokai International College's two-week summer camp -- 東海塾 (とうかいじゅく) -- will provide local students an opportunity to study the Japanese language intensively and to reinforce what they learned in Japanese 1 or Japanese 2. During the program there will be a lot of interaction with visiting high school students from Japan and with Japanese-speaking HTIC college students, which will allow participants many chances to practice their Japanese language skills in a practical setting. Our theme of the 2018 conference is "Past, Present and Future of TESOL" which lends itself to discussions about the progression of TESOL through the years (especially in Hawaii). We are particularly interested in where we have been, where we are now, what we know, what we think and what we do not know, with regards to different TESOL topics showing a change or progression over time.
