Tuition & Fees
The cost of attending HTIC will vary with the program of study undertaken, living arrangements, and personal expenses. Please note that all tuition and fees are subject to change in accordance with requirements of state law or action by HTIC’s Board of Trustees or administration.
Tuition
For the 2023 – 2024 academic year beginning in September 2023, one-term tuition for a full-time student is shown below.

U.S. Citizen/Permanent Resident (Hawai'i) $1,800
U.S. Citizen/Permanent Resident (Outside Hawai'i) $3,600
International Students $4,250
For the 2024 – 2025 academic year beginning in September 2024, tuition for all full-time students will be $5,200 per term per person.
Mandatory Fees
All students are assessed $270 in mandatory fees each term.
Beginning September 2024, all students will be assessed $320 in mandatory fees each term.
Residence Hall Fees
For the 2023 – 2024 academic year beginning in September 2023, room rates per term are shown below.

Optional: A set of bedding, including a pillow, blanket, and towels may be purchased for a one time $100 fee.
Meal Plan Options
A meal plan is available for purchase by all students and is mandatory for all students living in the residence hall. Resident hall students will have the option of choosing from three different meal plans each term: $800, $900, or $1,000.
Health Insurance
All students are required to have health insurance. The estimated cost of health insurance is $200 per term.
Textbooks
The estimated cost of textbooks is $400 per term.
